Pete Constant
RJUHSD Board Trustee | Professor | Retired Police Officer | Nonprofit Leader
With a rare blend of private, nonprofit, and public experiences, Pete Constant has proven himself as a strategic leader and collaborator with an extensive background in organizational leadership, public policy, non-profit management, community service, and public safety. Pete has dedicated his life to community service. Before moving to Roseville, Pete served as Councilmember for the City of San Jose for eight years and was a police officer for the City of San Jose, where he served for 14 years until a serious on-duty injury forced his early retirement for which he was awarded the Legion of Honor Award by the American Police Hall of Fame.
In addition to his private and public sector work, Pete has served on a number of nonprofit boards as well as city boards and commissions. Currently he is a member of the Roseville Board of Appeals and was most recently the vice chair of the Roseville Charter Review Commission. Pete is a founding board member of two new nonprofit organizations, Equable Institute, based in New York City and Throwing Starfish Foundation in Roseville.
Pete has a Bachelor of Arts in Management and a Master of Arts in Leadership from St. Mary’s College. He is now pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at the University of La Verne, and is a Professor of Public Policy and Department Chair at William Jessup University.
Pete has been a Rotarian for nearly 20 years and lives in the Fiddyment Farms neighborhood of Roseville, with his wife, Julie, and their 5 children, ages 16-21. Julie is a Roseville City School District Board member and Pete is currently a Governing Board Trustee for the Roseville Joint Union High School District.
Meet my family
Julie and I have five children. 23 Year old twins, Alexandra and Amanda; 21 year old twins, Peter and Samantha; and 18 year old Sydney. They have all either graduated from, or currently attend Oakmont High School.
My Passion for BBQ
Have I mentioned I’m an avid barbecuer? From smoking meats at home, to judging contests as a KCBS Certified BBQ Judge, I am immersed in the BBQ-Foodie world!
Community Involvement
I’ve dedicated my life to community service. From my years protecting the community as a police officer, to mentoring Boy Scouts and volunteering on city boards and commissions, I have served our community for over 34 years.
